Understanding Reiki
WHAT IS REIKI?
A Reiki session is a gentle, non-invasive form of energy healing that promotes relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well being. During the session, the client lies down fully clothed on a surface in a calm, serene environment.
The Reiki practitioner begins by lightly placing their hands just above (or gently on, if discussed) specific areas of the client’s body, such as the head, shoulders, torso and feet. These hand positions are held for a few minutes each, allowing energy to flow through the practitioner’s hands and into the client’s body. The goal is to balance and harmonise the client’s energy, removing any blockages and encouraging the body's natural healing processes.
THE EFFECTS OF REIKI
Many people express feeling a sense of deep relaxation. You may enter states of meditation, clarity, and/or experience emotions during or after, releasing blockages. A session can look different for everybody, depending on what is needed for you at this time. Know that in the event you appear to feel little to nothing throughout your session, the Reiki is still working and responding to your personal healing on an energetic level. We receive that which we are supposed to when the time is right, in nature’s due course.

This energy healing session allows you to choose between Cacao or Rose tea, where we will have a mini ceremony, learn about the plant and set some intentions before journeying with Reiki. When the session is complete we will have time for integration before going back into the outside world. Card reading included, optional.

Energy healing is a holistic practice that involves channeling and balancing the body’s energy to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. When our life force energy is blocked or imbalanced, it can lead to physical discomfort, emotional distress, or a feeling of disconnection.
The goal of energy healing is to create harmony within the body, mind, and spirit, supporting the body’s innate ability to heal itself. During an energy healing session, practitioners use various techniques to detect and clear these blockages, restore balance, and encourage the natural flow of energy.

Everything is made of energy. It is the basis of existence. It’s what gives us life, it is what life is curated by. It is you, it is me, it is the trees, the animals. It is your chair, your table, your screen and everything in between. Energy is tiny moving particles, even when things seem still and solid to the eye. It is quantum physics and beyond what scientists are able to explain. We vibrate constantly.
Energy is our greatest communication - it is a language beyond words, spoken through thought and feeling. It speaks when we are silent, it emits without our knowing. Love is a high vibrational frequency, fear is low vibrational frequency. We are magnets to our intention (law of vibration, law of attraction). Quantum entanglement explains that two particles in entirely different places are able to interact with each other, no matter what comes between them.
Energy healing channels high vibrational energy, sent through the healer to the receiver.

Yes, Reiki is completely safe. It is a practice that channels frequencies of love and codes of light, responding to the healing that you may need. There is lots of intentional preparation when you are in my caring hands from before you arrive and throughout the session that continues after.

Cacao refers to the bean that grows on trees from which chocolate is made. It's the purest form. Chocolate is the processed result, yet cacao is raw and preserves the natural compounds. Research believes that it is the only food able to connect the left and right side of the brain. It relieves stress, it is great for your all-round health and is a great pathway to connecting with the self and others.
Ceremonial Cacao is prepared with intention and mindfulness, an ancient practice used by the Aztecs and Mayans passed down through generations and across cultures. It is mixed with plant based milk/water and spices. In this way, it works as a medicine and heart opener. It releases stress and emotions, being a great pathway to connecting with the self and others on a deeper level.

Brewed from the petals and buds of the rose flower, rose has a frequency of 320hz which is the closest tangible that we have to the frequency of love on this earth! There are many benefits to connecting with this tea, including lots of antioxidants, anti inflammatory and reduced stress levels.

It is highly recommended not to consume alcohol for up to 24 hours before and after the session, as this can effect the energy healing. Caffeine should also be limited - preferably not consumed on the day.
Drink lots of water after your Reiki session. Water is a great healer, purifier and alchemist.
Be especially mindful of the food that you nourish your body with. We are especially sensitive when we do energy work!
